Bhubaneswar: As Odisha Government steered by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has been bracing up for a ‘new’ and an ‘empowered’ Odisha, the State Administration has tightened up its belt to further develop road connectivity in a bid to pace up the mobility of the commuters.
This was known from the significant address of Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal on the occasion of the inaugural day of First Budget Session of 16th Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) today.
Addressing the House, the Governor stated, “My Government will attempt to connect the heritage Silver City of Cuttack with Smart City of Bhubaneswar by metro railway.”
He also informed the House, “Biju Express Way will connect North to South, East to West of Odisha.”
In this context, the First Citizen of Odisha further informed the House, “Puri will be made a world class heritage city. All places of tourism importance will be linked and way-side amenities will be provided on all major roads.”
