**Bhubaneswar**: Close on the heels of submitting her resignation letter from the post of State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Minati Behera has now been appointed as the new president of Biju Mahila Janata Dal.
Former president of the Mahila Dal, Pramila Mallik has now been given charge as the advisor. Mallik will also be taking up the role of Vice-President of State BJD Party.
Jyoti Panigrahi and Kasturi Mohapatra have been appointed as co-advisors of Biju Mahila Janata Dal.
Shreemayee Sweta Snigdha Mishra, Gitarani Bastia, Sulochana Das and Lopamudra Baxipatra have been appointed as Working Presidents of Biju Mahila Janata Dal, while Sulata Deo and Elina Dash have been appointed as General Secretary and Secretary respectively.
“State Committee and District Committee of Biju Mahila Janata Dal respcitively remain as it is,” stated the press note.
Notably, the State Women’s Commission Chairperson Lopamudra Baxipatra had resigned from her post today morning following which she was appointed the Working President of Biju Mahila Janata Dal in the afternoon.
