Mini Marathon To Promote Disaster Resilient Heritage Held In Puri

Puri: A mini marathon to promote Disaster Resilient Heritage was flagged off by State Sports Minister Tusharkanti Behera in pilgrim town of Puri on Thursday.

Around 3000 persons from all walks of society participated in the event organised by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in collaboration with Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA).

The mini marathon commenced from the Sports Stadium and covered a distance of 8 kilometres passing through Chakra Tirtha Road, VIP Road, Baliapanda Road and culminated near Light House.

In the men’s category, the first prize of Rs 30,000 was received by Mukund Barik, second prize of Rs 20,000 by Rasmiranjan Nayak and third prize of Rs 10,000 by Sudhansu Nayak.

In the women’s category, the first prize of Rs 30,000 was received by Samsadara Begum, second prize of Rs 20,000 by Sandhay Murmu and third prize of Rs 10,000 by Saina Smile Mohanty.
