Bhubaneswar: The State’s Mining Department has been the major revenue-generating sector in Odisha, the CAG report tabled in the State Assembly on Friday revealed.
According to the CAG report, the mining sector generated a revenue of Rs 49,859 crore during 2020-21.
Rs 27,826 crore was received from GST while the State’s revenue expenditure has increased from Rs 95,311 crore to Rs 1,09,586 crore.
Similarly, the revenue balance increased to Rs 43,472 crore from Rs 9,076 crore in 2020-21, the CAG report stated.
