Bhubaneswar: The Minister of State for Food Supply and Camp Welfare, Krushna Chandra Patra held a meeting today with petrol, diesel, and LPG distributors and related State organizations.
In the meeting held at Odisha State Food Supply Corporation office at Nayapalli in Bhubaneswar, departmental officers, state-owned oil company representatives, office bearers of Utkal Petroleum Dealers Association, and representatives of the distributors’ association.
Minister Patra emphasized consumer interests and stressed on right quantity and quality of oil and gas, good customer service, gas delivery within 48 hours of booking, and regular inspections to prevent black marketing and adulteration.
The minister said that action will be taken against commercial misuse of domestic gas.
The meeting also discussed OTP-based services to prevent black marketing and CSR (corporate social responsibility) funding and employee health insurance. The minister also emphasised on providing support for disabled youth and women.
In this meeting, there was a discussion about working on speedy resolution of the problems of various distribution agencies and the grievances of the consumers. Minister Patra asked the filling station owners to ensure drinking water, and toilet facilities in the station.
Food Department Additional Secretary Santosh Nayak, Deputy Director Deepak Satpathy, and Utkal Petroleum Dealers Association General Secretary Sanjay Lath were present on the occasion.
