**Mayurbhanj:** A minor boy died today while undergoing treatment for injuries sustained during a scuffle with his friends at Salchua village under Thakurmunda block of Mayurbhanj district.
Reportedly, the deceased identified as 12-year-old Ajay, son of late Raghunath Nayak, had on yesterday afternoon visited a nearby village to watch a fair. An argument broke out between them on their way home and some of them had attacked Ajay.
Following it Ajay returned home and locked himself inside his room. As he did not come out of his room despite repeated calls, family members with help of neighbours entered into the room by breaking open thatched roof of the house.
Ajay was then rushed to a hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries. Thakurmunda Police has meanwhile detained a boy in this connection and started probe of the case.
