Minor Boy Hit By Train While Filming Reel In Puri, Dies

Puri: A teenage boy died after being hit by a speeding train while he was filming a video on the railway tracks at Janakadeipur railway station near Chandanpur police station in Puri district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Biswajeet Sahu (15).

The minor, a resident of Manglaghat, had accompanied his mother to the Dakshinakali temple and was returning home when he stopped close to the railway line at Janakadeipur station and started recording a reel.

Locals rescued him and brought him to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.

Upon being informed, Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel rushed to the spot and retrieved the body and sent it for post‑mortem.
