Puri: A minor boy posing as a doctor was caught and detained by police at Puri District Headquarters Hospital. According to reports, the 17-year-old boy, a +2 student of SCS College in Puri, wore an apron and stethoscope around his neck in the male ward.
The boy attended to patients daily without prescribing medicine, until nurses and staff grew suspicious. When questioned, he revealed his true identity as a 17-year-old +2 science student of Samant Chandrasekhar College, residing at Gora Sabar Lane under Sea Beach police station.
He claimed to be at the hospital to learn about medical courses. The nurses immediately alerted the police, who detained the boy and summoned his family for investigation.
