Minor Boy Killed In Crocodile Attack In Angul

Bhubaneswar:  An eight-year-old boy died after being attacked by a crocodile at Tikarpada area of Angul district, on Saturday.

Though the identity of the deceased minor boy is yet to be ascertained, it is learnt that he belonged to Tikarpada Ghat area of the district.

According to sources,  the minor boy was playing on the banks of the Mahanadi River when a crocodile emerged from the water and dragged the child in. Upon being informed by locals, fire brigade personnel launched a search operation for the child. The minor boy’s body was fished out following a frantic search by the firefighting officials.

The minor boy’s death has sent shockwaves in the locality.
