Baripada: In a tragic incident, a minor boy died in Anua village under Morada block in Mayurbhanj district after a mud wall of a dilapidated house collapsed on him today.
According to reports, the deceased identified as 15-year-old Bhuju Marandi was loitering near his house when the rain-soaked mud wall of their neighbour Jamuna Marandi’s dilapidated house caved in on him.
Following the incident, Bhuju was rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Baramile.
As his condition deteriorated Bhuju was shifted to Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College & Hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
A case of unnatural death has been registered at Morada police station in this connection and an autopsy was conducted on the body.
Bhuju was studying class VIII.
