Minor Critically Injured In Firecracker Blast In Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A minor boy suffered serious hand injuries when a firecracker exploded while being lit during Diwali celebrations in Kainipura village under Ghasipura police limits.

The incident occurred on Monday evening, officials said.

Chakradhar Patra’s son of Kainipura village was holding a firecracker when his friend lit it, causing the cracker to burst in his hand and grievously injuring his son.

The injured boy was rushed by family members to Anandapur Sub‑Division Hospital, where doctors confirmed he is undergoing treatment for severe burns and lacerations. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the mishap.
