Sundargarh: A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by three miscreants in the Talsara area of Sundargarh district on Monday night while returning home from a wedding ceremony.
According to reports, the miscreants in a Bolero vehicle forcibly abducted the girl after hitting the motorcycle she was traveling on with her relatives yesterday night.
They then forcibly took the girl to a nearby forest, where they allegedly committed the crime. The relatives fled the scene and the accused escaped after the incident.
Following the ordeal, the victim’s family lodged a complaint at Talsara police station. The police have launched an investigation and identified the suspects.
“We have identified the accused and strict action will be taken as per the law,” stated the Sundargarh Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO).
