Bhubaneswar: In a horrific incident, a 14-year-old Class IX student was allegedly raped inside a car in the Daringbadi area of Kandhamal district on the evening of September 5.
According to the complaint lodged by the victim’s family, the minor was returning home after participating in a Ganesh Visarjan ceremony, which she had attended at her elder sister’s house in Daringbadi area.
The accused allegedly dragged the girl into a car, raped her, and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the incident.
Following the complaint, Daringbadi police registered a case and initiated a thorough investigation. The victim’s medical examination has been completed and her statement has been recorded.
