**Khorda:** A minor girl was stabbed to death by a man while coming back from work in Annapurna Nagar of Balugaon here at 10pm on Saturday night. The 17-year-old allegedly refused the love proposal of the accused which resulted in her murder.
The accused, identified as R. Gopi is a businessman staying in the neigbourhood allegedly proposed the minor several times for the past two months. After the girl refused him repeatedly, out of rage and anger,the one-sided lover stabbed the minor when she was returning home after work late night.
According to reports, thinking her to be dead, the accused left her on the road after which the severely injured girl cried for help. Responding her cry, locals informed the police and rushed her to the Balugaon Community Health Centre (CHC). The minor died at around 11pm on the way while being shifted to MKCG Hospital, Berhampur.
