Bhubaneswar: Two unfortunate incidents were reported at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Friday.
According to reports, a minor girl sustained burn injuries after the dress she was wearing caught fire from a diya (earthen lamp) inside the temple. The minor girl has been admitted to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital in a critical condition. She is a native of Hyderabad.
Similarly, a two-year-old child suffered grievous injuries after being bitten by a stray dog in front of Simha Dwara of the Shree Jagannath temple. A stray dog sleeping near the Aruna Stambha suddenly attacked the child playing nearby with his parents around. The dog has bitten one of the eyes of the child. The kid was immediately rushed to the First Aid Centre near the temple.
