Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed OAS officer Mirdha Toppo as the Special Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
Toppo, previously serving as Project Director of the District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) in Keonjhar, joins the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in a key role.
The General Administration and Public Grievance Department of the Odisha government has issued a notification in this regard.
“Shri Mirdha Toppo, OAS (SS), PD, DUDA, Keonjhar is transferred and posted as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, Odisha”, read the notification.
This appointment comes amid scrutiny over the state’s handling of the Rath Yatra in Puri, where the government faced criticism for alleged mismanagement.
