Rayagada: A student of Plus II, Second Year sustained serious injuries after a miscreant slit her throat with a knife on Thursday. The incident has been reported from Gumuda in Padampur tahasil of Gunupur.
She is a student of Droupadi Vidyapeeth and the incident took place, a few metres away from the institution. As per reports, the incident occurred when the girl was leaving her college after appearing for the annual exam.
The accused youth has been detained by the police and the girl was shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur for treatment.
