Balasore: In a shocking incident, unknown miscreants broke into the house of retired Jajpur CDMO Raghunath Padhi in Odisha’s Bhadrak district late Thursday night and stabbed him at least seven times.
Padhi has been admitted to the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in critical condition.
According to reports, the attack took place around 4.30 am when Padhi was going into the puja room. Suddenly someone attacked him and stabbed him in the abdomen, thigh, chest, and hand.
Padhi and his wife were the only members living in the house during the attack.
Police suspect that the miscreants broke into the house with the intention of theft. No arrests have been made in this connection so far.
