Nabarangpur: Days after a fake notice circulating under SVM Autonomous College in Jagatsinghpur denying entry of female students without boyfriends for Valentine’s day going viral, a similar notice under Pendrani Mahavidyalaya, Umerkote in Nabarangpur district has started doing rounds.
“It is mandatory to all girls of Pendrani Mahavidyalaya that they must have at least one boyfriend before 14 February for security purpose. Single girls will not be allowed to enter inside the college. They will have to show xerox copy of chat for proof. Spread love,” the notice with the Principal’s purported signature reads.
Principal of Pendrani Mahavidyalaya Anita Majhi has, however, said that the notice is fake and it is the handiwork of some miscreants who have forged it by substituting the matter of the notice issued by her for Republic Day and Saraswati Puja.
Meanwhile, the authorities of Pendrani Mahavidyalaya have lodged a complaint with the police and sought action against the miscreants.
