Bhubaneswar: Four bike-borne miscreants allegedly chased a four-wheeler owner and hurled explosives at his SUV under Khandagiri police limits in the wee hours of Monday.
The four-wheeler owner identified as Rajesh Samant Singhar sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The vehicle has also been damaged severely in the bombing.
Based on a complaint, Khandagiri police have launched a manhunt for the miscreants. Police have got to know that the main accused in this case was also involved in the gruesome attack on the Saliasahi corporator. Police have, meanwhile, formed a special team to arrest the miscreants.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Prateek Singh said, “Khandagiri police had got to know that four bike-borne miscreants hurled bombs at the SUV injuring its owner. On a tip-off, Khandagiri police rescued the SUV owner. Though police are yet to know the exact reason behind the bombing, it is suspected that the incident could be a fallout of past enmity. A team has been formed to arrest the absconding culprits.”
