Sundargarh: Unidentified miscreants attacked a petrol pump in Tumulia in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Sunday and stabbed the owner and his wife before fleeing with cash worth lakhs of rupees.
According to reports, five bike-borne miscreants attacked a petrol pump in Tumulia under Talsara police limits in the district and demanded that they be handed over the cash box at the counter. As the owner Deb Prasad Nanda refused to oblige, one of the miscreants stabbed him in the stomach another stabbed his wife and the third hit her on the head. Soon after, the miscreants fled the spot.
The duo was critically injured in the attack and was rushed to the Sabdega Medical Center. On being informed, Talsara police arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation into the crime. Till the time of filing this report, the police are yet to trace the whereabouts of the miscreants.
