Miscreants Steal Jewellery Bag

Balasore: Two miscreants allegedly stole a bag containing gold ornaments from a jewellery shop owner near Dungura Market under Khaira Police limits in Balasore district on Monday.

The shop owner, identified as Ganesh Sahoo, placed the bag on a chair while opening the store in the morning. At this time, two miscreants arrived on a bike and grabbed the bag before fleeing the scene.

“Due to my niece’s wedding, my shop remained closed for four days. I returned to open my shop today at 10:15 am. I had taken some ornaments home and was carrying a bag containing three anklets, two chains, and Rs. 10,000 in cash. As I opened my shop, I placed that bag on chair. Suddenly, two individuals on an Apache bike arrived. One, wearing a helmet, stood near the bike, while the others grabbed the bag and fled the scene,” said Sahoo.

He reported the incident to Khaira Police Station following which police reached the scene and initiated an investigation into the matter.
