Bhubaneswar: Tension prevailed at Govindapur village in Pipili block of Puri district as a minor boy of the village, who was missing for the last three days, was found dead near Nuapada on Wednesday.
Reportedly, the deceased identified as Soumyaranjan Jena, a Class X student, had gone to attend tuition classes on the evening of March 7. As he did not return home, family members had lodged a missing complaint at Pipili Police Station.
However, he was found dead near Nuapada. On being informed, police reached the spot and sent the body to a local hospital for post-mortem. The body was handed over to his family members yesterday.
Following it, Soumyaranjan’s family members and locals alleged murder and staged a road blockade demanding immediate arrest of the accused. As per last reports, police reached the spot and were trying to pacify the locals.
