Missing Girl's Body Recovered From Riverbed In Bhadrak

Bhadrak: Body of a girl missing for the last five days was recovered from the riverbed of Baitarani at Akhuapada village in Bhadrak district on Thursday.

The girl identified Asha, employee of a finance company, had been reportedly gone missing from January 25. A case in this regard had been lodged at Bhadrak Rural Police Station.

Few days back, a truck driver found Asha's scooter on the Baitarani river bridge at Akhuapada and had handed it over at Panikoili Police Station.

Today morning, villagers found her body from the riverbed and informed the police. While Bhandaripokhari police recovered the body, Bhadrak Rural police sent it for post mortem to ascertain the cause of death.

In the meantime, Asha's family members have staged a dharna near Bhadrak SP office demanding unbiased probe and stringent action against the accused.
