Missing Girl’s Body Recovered From Luna River In Odisha’s Kendrapada

Bhubaneswar: The body of a missing minor girl was recovered from the Luna River in Banapada village of Odisha’s Kendrapada district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Abilipsa Behera (14).

According to reports, Abilipsa and another girl from her Class were swept away by the current in the Luna River while bathing in the river on Saturday morning. While local villagers managed to rescue Abilapsa’s friend, she went missing.

On being informed, the Fire Services department personnel and the villagers launched a search operation but could not trace the girl. On Sunday morning, Abilipsa’s body was seen floating in the river.
