Bhubaneswar: BJD MLA Prafulla Samal, who appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED), came out of the agency office in Bhubaneswar after 8-hour long interrogation on Wednesday.
As per the ED notice, Samal, a former Odisha Minister appeared before the agency at 11.30 am today.
“I am fully cooperating with the investigation. I have presented all the relevant documents sought by the ED,” Samal told media after interrogation.
The ED questioned him in connection with its probe into alleged financial irregularities in Barpada School of Engineering and Technology (BSET) in Bhadrak district.
Samal’s son Prayaskanti has been named as the main accused in the financial irregularities of the Engineering college. He was also summoned by the probe agency to appear.
Prayaskanti, who used to serve as the college president, is accused of siphoning off funds of the institute to buy properties and high-end vehicles in Bhubaneswar.
The agency had on February 15 raided 10 premises related to Samal in connection with money laundering case.
Samal is currently representing the Bhadaripokhari assembly segment in Bhadrak district.
