Cuttack: A fresh Mo Bus accident has been reported in Cuttack’s Khan Nagar area, where a speeding bus collided with a moped carrying a vegetable trader, leaving him critically injured. This incident is the latest in a series of accidents involving Mo Buses, raising concerns over the safety of commuters.
The accident occurred around 6:30 am when Bikas Swain, the victim, was en route to Bhubaneswar on his two-wheeler, carrying vegetables.
According to eye-witnesses the Mo Bus rammed into Swain’s moped, causing severe injuries to his leg and head.
Locals and passersby rushed to Swain’s aid and shifted him to a nearby hospital for treatment. Badambadi police, on information, reached the accident spot after receiving information and initiated an investigation into the matter.
This incident is the latest in a series of accidents involving Mo Buses. Just days ago, a 13-year-old girl was tragically crushed to death by a speeding Mo Bus on Nandankanan-Patia Road, in Bhubaneswar. The girl was riding her bicycle when the bus hit her from behind and ran over her.
On Thursday, two women sustained serious injuries in an accident involving a Mo Bus at Chandrasekharpur BDA Square. The incident has sparked concern over the safety record of the Mo Bus service, which has been involved in several accidents in recent times.
