Mobile Snatcher Dies In Accident While Fleeing After Committing Crime

Balasore: A mobile-snatcher was killed in an accident while trying to escape after snatching a mobile phone of a woman in Odisha’s Balasore district on Monday.

According to reports, while Anita Nayak and her son were on their way from Soro to Jiratal on a scooty around Monday noon, a youth snatched the mobile phone near Dahisada and tried to flee. Anita and her son raised an alarm and chased the youth, who lost control of his two-wheeler and on the ground near Modern Hotel. As the youth suffered serious head injuries, he died on the spot.

On being informed, police arrived at the spot and sent the body for autopsy. However, the identity of the deceased youth could not be ascertained.
