Moderate Rain Expected In 18 Odisha Districts In Next Three Hours, Warns IMD

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a nowcast alert forecasting moderate rain, light thunderstorms, and lightning across 18 districts of Odisha within the next three hours.

According to the nowcast warning at 1:12 pm,  Angul, Balangir, Bargarh, Boudh, Cuttack, Deogarh, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Khordha, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Puri, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Sonepur, and Sundargarh districts will be affected by the adverse weather condition.

The IMD has urged residents to stay vigilant and take precautions against lightning strikes, advising people to seek shelter in safe locations if weather conditions worsen. A cyclonic circulation over the North Bay of Bengal that is likely to intensify into a low-pressure system, potentially bringing heavier rainfall in the coming days.
