“Moderate rainfall is likely to occur in many parts of northern and interior parts of Odisha today,”said Met Department Director, Sarat Sahu.
“The cyclonic circulation which was lingering over Odisha and Jharkhand has turned into low pressure area moving towards Madhya Pradesh and central parts of India. Moreover, the trough line is now extended from Punjab to Bay of Bengal across the states of Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Gangetic West Bengal. These will cause showers at a few places in Odisha,”added the Met official.
The wind will blow at a speed of 35-55 km/hour off and along the coasts of Odisha which would render the fishermen to be cautious while venturing in the sea.
The maximum temperature recorded in the State is 32.5*C at Balasore, whereas the minimum temperature recorded was 22*C at Sundergarh and Titlagarh
