Moderate Thunderstorms With Lightning Likely In 14 Odisha Districts In Next Three Hours

Bhubaneswar: As many as 14 Odisha districts are likely to experience light to moderate thunderstorms with lightning or rain over the next three hours, according to the prediction of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Going by the nowcast warning issued by the IMD at 2:10 pm, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Nabarangapur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Angul, and Dhenkanal are likely to be affected by the inclement weather conditions.

The IMD has issued a yellow warning, advising people to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to exercise caution and stay indoors during the thunderstorms.
