Bhubaneswar: Most parts of the State are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning till August 27 (Friday) morning.
The Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) bulletin on Monday afternoon stated:
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha. From August 25 to August 27 morning, an Yellow Warning has been issued for –
Nawarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak, and Balasore districts.
According to the IMD, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over these districts, accompanied by heavy rainfall. On Monday afternoon, heavy rains lashed most parts of Bhubaneswar.
The IMD predicted partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower in Bhubaneswar. The Maximum and Minimum temperature of the Capital City will be around 36°C and 26°C respectively.
