Bhubaneswar: BJP’s Sundergarh MP and Rajya Sabha member Ashwini Vaishnaw were among other senior leaders who reportedly received a phone call from the PMO ahead of the swearing-in ceremony.
PM-designate Narendra Modi will meet the probable cabinet ministers at his residence at 11.30 AM. After receiving the call, Jual Oram left for the residence of Narendra Modi.
Aswini Vaishnaw was the Railway and IT minister in the Modi cabinet. He is likely to get a cabinet berth in the third term of Narendra Modi as PM.
Jual Oram, a five-time Member of Parliament had held India’s first Tribal Affairs ministry under the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government in 1999. Oram had also been given the same portfolio in Modi’s first term.
Senior BJP leaders including Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Mansukh Mandviya also got the calls from the PMO.
According to sources, BJP is likely to keep four key ministries like Home, Defence, Finance and External Affairs.
Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi will take the oath of office at 7.15 PM today at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi.
