Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Odisha on September 27, marking his sixth visit to the state in just 15 months. During his visit, Modi will flag off the Amrit Bharat Express, unveil railway projects worth Rs 1,700 crore, and launch BSNL’s ‘Swadeshi’ 4G stack.
From Jharsuguda, Modi will announce the expansion of eight IITs, grant super-speciality status to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur and VIMSAR hospital in Sambalpur, and launch a national skill development program. He will also provide aid to 50,000 beneficiaries under the Antyodaya scheme.
Despite forecasts of thunderstorms and gusty winds in Jharsuguda, preparations for the event are underway. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and senior officials have inspected the venue and directed authorities to address any lapses.
