Monsoon Covers Entire State, 12 Stations Record Above 50mm Rainfall In Last 24 Hours

Bhubaneswar: The Southwest monsoon further advanced today morning and has now covered the entire Odisha, the local station of IMD stated. Odisha will be witnessing heavy to very heavy rains during this week as Monsoon further advances and make the conditions favourable for heavy precipitation.

During the last 24 hours, 2 stations have recorded more than 100mm rainfall and 12 stations more than 50mm rainfall. The maximum precipitation (114mm) was recorded at Garadpur in Kendrapada and 105.2mm at Hindol in Dhenkanal district.

Angul town recorded 98mm precipitation in the past 24 hours. The IMD informed. The IMD further added that the twin city (Bhubaneswar and Cuttack) will have wet weather till June 19, with heavy rains and thundershower.
