Bhubaneswar: A 10-foot-long King cobra was rescued from Bahadapadar village in Bhanjanagar block of Ganjam. The snake was first spotted on the roof of a house belonging to Sanatan Sahu, prompting villagers to inform the local forest department.
A snake rescue team, comprising Sanjay Kumar Swain, Bhikari Bisoyi, Kedar Mallick, and Pramod Bisoyi, reached the spot and safely rescued the venomous reptile. After confirming its identity as a King cobra, the team released the snake in the nearby Danguapalli reserved forest.
The rescue operation was carried out efficiently, ensuring the safety of both the residents and the snake.
