More Than 300 Injured In Railway Tragedy In Balasore, At Least 50 Feared Killed

Bhubaneswar: More than 350 persons have been injured in the railway accident which took place in between two express trains in Bahanaga in Balasore today evening.  Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena said informed that the injured have been shifted to hospitals in Balasore and Soro.

“All private and government hospitals in between Balasore and Bhubaneswar, SCB Medical College and Hospital, and AIIMS Bhubaneswar have been placed on alert to admit the injured passengers,” Jena said.

Additional DG Fire Services, Transport Commissioner Amitabh Thakur, IG Northern Range, Himanshu Lal, and senior IAS officer Arvind Agarwal, have also been rushed to the spot to oversee the relief and rescue operations.
