Puri: Mortal remains of acclaimed Odia actor Raimohan Parida were consigned to flames at Swargadwar here on Friday night. The acclaimed Odia film actor’s younger daughter lit the funeral pyre of Parida. A large number of fans, followers, family members, and Odia film fraternity were present at Puri to attend the last rites.
Earlier in the day, Raimohan’s body was taken to Capital Hospital for autopsy. Later his body was taken to Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya where he was a student, and then taken back to his home at Palasuni’s Prachi Vihar. From this place, the final journey of the late Actor began, proceeding towards Puri. People in Odisha expressed shock and grief over the demise of Parida.
