Basudevpur: In a tragic incident, a woman and her minor son died of electrocution in Natiapal village under Kasia Marine police station limits in Basudevpur block of Bhadrak district today.
The deceased have been identified as Sapan Nayak (14) and his mother Laxmimani Nayak (45).
According to reports, Sapan while switching off the water pump and removing the plug from the wall socket received an electric shock, hearing his cries Laxmimani rushed to his rescue and tried to pull him by his hand.
In the process, both the son and his mother fell unconscious after receiving an electric shock.
They were rushed to the Government Hospital here in critical condition where attending doctors declared them brought dead.
