Mother-Son Duo Electrocuted In Kalahandi After Contact With Live Wire

Bhawanipatna: A tragic incident in Kalahandi district claimed the lives of a 64-year-old woman and her 35-year-old son after they came into contact with a live electric wire on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident occurred in Dungarpada hamlet under Turchi village, within the M Rampur police station limits.

According to police, Sunafulla Suna was drying wet clothes when she accidentally touched the live wire connected to their house.

Upon seeing his mother in distress, her son, Rabi Suna, rushed to help but was also electrocuted. Both died instantly at the scene.

Police have registered a case, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal incident.
