Bhubaneswar: An MoU has been signed between SPINFED and 3 Incubatees for establishment of Incubation Centre on apparel sector this morning in the office of Minister, Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts (HTH) Rita Sahoo on Wednesday.
The MoU was signed between Sri Debjit Nandy, MD, SPINFED and three selected incubatees Mukesh Kumar Nayak (Kendrapara), Binoy Munda (Rairangapur), Biswojit Kiro (Sundargarh) in the presence of Minister, HT&H Rita Sahoo, Principal Secretary, HT&H Department Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Director of Textiles Shovan Krishna Sahu, Director, Handicrafts Pranati Chhotray, Special Secretary, HT&H Department Saroj Kumar Patel and other officials.
The main objectives of incubation centre is to promote entrepreneurship in apparel manufacturing to create additional manufacturing capacity to generate additional employment opportunities. The project components are plug and play factory building-ready to use factory building with total built up area of 45,000 Sq. ft. for three incubators.
The incubation period for each incubatee shall be three years without any initial cooling period. It is expected that more than 500 un-employed women would get employment through this Incubation Centre.
More and more women entrepreneurs will be deployed and financially empowered through the Incubation Centre, said Minister Smt. Sahoo. These three incubatees will be the role models in Odisha and encourage more entrepreneurs with employment opportunities in the apparel sector, said Principal Secretary Dr Padhee.
