Cuttack: The authorities of SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH) have decided to play devotional music for critical patients undergoing treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs).
It was decided at the meeting of the hospital executive body. Authorities said music especially devotional songs of Lord Jagannath will be played. It will create a positive energy in the minds of patients, which will help them recover speedily, hospital sources said.
Playing bhajans will also create a spiritual atmosphere in the ICUs at the premier health institute.
The hospital authorities will hire a private agency for the projects. Sound systems will be placed in various wards to disseminate information to people and create awareness among them, sources said.
