Bhubaneswar: Mystery shrouds the death of a girl whose blood-stained body was recovered from a house at Shivsakti Nagar under Pahala police limits in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Charu Malhotra and hailed from Chandigarh.
The deceased was engaged as a bar dancer at a bar on Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Road.
According to reports, around 25 girls were staying in the building at Shivshakti Nagar. Prima facie, the death appears to be a case of suicide.
Senior police officials have reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter. Aside from registering a case of unnatural death, the police are examining chats, mobile call records, and other social media accounts of the deceased bar dancer.
