Berhampur: Mystery shrouds the death of a first-year post-graduate student of Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College & Hospital (MKCG) in Odisha’s Berhampur on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Subhani Patnaik, a resident of Ganjam.
According to reports, Subhani’s hostel mates found her in critical condition in her room. She was rushed to the MKCG hospital but breathed her last while undergoing treatment. A migraine medicine overdose is suspected to be responsible for Subhani’s death. However, the exact reason for the end is being investigated.
On being informed, the police reached the spot, seized the body, and sent it for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s parents have lodged an FIR at the Medical Police Outpost regarding the incident.
