Bhubaneswar: Narco test of sacked Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of police Gopal Krishna Das, the sole accused (so far) in former Health Minister Naba Das murder has been completed today at the State Forensic Science Laboratory, Directorate of Forensic Science Services (DFSS), Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Gopal is currently unconscious, it will take some time for him to regain consciousness and he is now under observation, informed sources in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Crime Branch (CB) which is investigating the high profile murder case.
A detailed medical examination of Gopal was done before his narco test was conducted.
Earlier on Thursday the first round of Gopal’s polygraph test was conducted at the State Forensic Science Laboratory of the Directorate of Forensic Science Services (DFSS) in Gandhinagar. He also underwent the second round of the polygraph test on Friday.
An eight-member team led by the Investigation Officer (IO) DSP Ramesh Chandra Dora accompanied accused Gopal and has been camping at Gandhinagar for the conduct of his polygraph and narco test, the Crime Branch has said.

Gopal along with the team which accompanied him to Gandhinagar are scheduled to return to Jharsuguda tomorrow.
The Forensic Psychological Assessment and Layered Voice Analysis (LVA) Test of accused Gopal have been completed by a team of Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), New Delhi at Jharsuguda on February 6 (Monday).
The special Medical Board consisting of Psychiatry doctors has conducted a detail study of the mental health of accused at Jharsuguda. The Special Medical Board’s report is awaited.
Experts from SFSL, Gandhinagar, Gujarat and the CB team recreated the Crime Scene on Tuesday (February 7).
Former Minister Naba Das was murdered in broad daylight on January 29, when he was in Brajarajnagar’s Gandhi Chowk to attend a party programme. He was allegedly gunned down from point blank range by Gopal who was on traffic control duty on the fateful day.
The Minister was initially rushed to the district headquarters hospital here and was airlifted from Jharsuguda in a critical condition.
He succumbed to his injuries in the evening on the same day at Apollo Hospitals in Bhubaneswar while undergoing treatment. The bullet fired by Gopal had pierced through the heart and lung of the Minister and exited.
