Jharsuguda: The Crime Branch has arrested ASI of Gandhi Chowk Police Outpost Gopal Das, accused in the murder of Health Minister Naba Kisore Das, informed Crime Branch ADG Arun Bothra.
Bothra said the Crime Branch will seek to take Gopal on a seven-day remand. The spot where the incident took place has been examined, he added.
The Crime Branch ADG said that why Gopal fired at the Health Minister and whether there was any past enmity between the two is being investigated.
He has, however, clarified that Gopal never worked as Personal Security Officer (PSO) of Naba Kisore Das.
