Bhubaneswar: Prime accused in Minister Naba Kisore Das murder case, dismissed Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of police Gopal Krishna Das today underwent Forensic Psychological Assessment and Layered Voice Analysis (LVA) test.
The CID CB investigating the brutal murder of the Minister has said, “Forensic Psychological Assessment and LVA Test of accused Gopal Krishna is being conducted by the team of CFSL ( Central Forensic Science Laboratory), New Delhi at Jharsuguda”.
The agency investigating the high profile broad daylight murder has informed that a special Medical Board has been constituted to study the mental health of the accused.
As per the disclosure of accused Gopal Krishna, the 22 pieces of paper chits recovered from the septic tank of the Jharsuguda Airport police station have been sent to Handwriting Bureau for examination and opinion, the Crime Branch said.
Further, documents recovered from the paternal house of the accused at Industrial Estate, Berhampur and official quarter at Jharsuguda are being scrutinized, the investigating agency added.
The financial details of accused, his wife, brother and other close relatives are also being collected by a team of CID CB.
The accused Gopal Krishna was produced in the Court of JMFC, Jharsuguda after completion of first four days of remand period. The Court has allowed further police remand of the accused for another four days.
The Crime Branch said that further investigation of the case is continuing.
Minister Das was murdered in broad daylight on January 29, when he was in Brajarajnagar’s Gandhi Chowk to attend a party programme. He was shot from point blank range by Gopal Krishna, airlifted from Jharsuguda in a critical condition and breathed his last in the evening at Apollo Hospitals in Bhubaneswar.
