Naba Das Murder Case: Sole Accused Gopal Das To Be Presented In Court

Jharsuguda: The court of Additional District Judge here will today frame charges against the sacked police ASI Gopal Das in the high profile Naba Das murder case.

The accused Gopal would be produced in court today under tight security. He will be ferried from Cuttack’s Choudwar Circle Jail to the court in Jharsuguda.

The Crime Branch has investigated the case and filed a 544-page chargesheet against Gopal. The Jharsuguda Court will hear the case following the framing of the accusations.

Das had shot the then Odisha Minister, Naba Kisore Das at Gandhi Chowk in Jharsuguda district on January 29, 2023. The minister succumbed to serious bullet injuries at Apollo Hospital in Bhubaneswar the same day.
