Berhampur: The Crime Branch (CB) today picked up Satyanarayan Das, brother of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of police Gopal Krishna Das who is accused of murder of Health Minister Naba Kisore Das.
Satyanarayan was picked up by Crime Branch Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sisir Mishra from his home at Jaleswarpur under Baidyanathpur police limits here after he was subjected to questioning by the latter, reports said.
It is pertinent to mention here that ASI Gopal Krishna Das of Gandhi Chowk Outpost in Barajrajnagar who while on traffic duty had shot Health Minister Naba Das from point blank range while the Minister was alighting from his car to attend a programme.
Later in the evening the Minister succumbed to his gunshot injuries at the Appolo Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Satyanarayan was running an eatery at Brajarajnagar which he had opened a month back.
Incidentally, the eatery which opened regularly till Saturday remained closed on Sunday when Gopal Das fired at Naba Kisore Das.
