Berhampur: A team of the Odisha Crime Branch, which is investigating the murder of Odisha Health Minister Naba Kisore Das in Jharsuguda on January 29, reached Berhampur on Tuesday night to interrogate accused ASI Gopal Krushna Das’ wife Jayanthi Das.
Lady inspector Anila Anand interrogated Jayanthi at Gopal’s ancestral house in Jaleshwarkhandi. She was assisted by lady DSP Sathini Oram of Berhampur police.
Jayanthi and her children are currently staying with her parents in Berhampur.
It is worth mentioning here that soon after the crime on January 29, Jayanthi had told media persons that her husband was suffering from bipolar disorder and was undergoing treatment for the condition.
While the Crime Branch did not reveal the details of the outcome of the interrogation, Gopal Das’ second four-day remand ends on Wednesday.
